Gothic Noir

  • Asymmetric stoneware vase with a dark attitude and a fat belly giving a nod to the black and white tiled floors found in churches and cathedrals, symbolising good and evil.  Little crosses decorate the edges and the gnarly sprig to one side adds a sense of drama.   Interesting too that the manganese oxide contained in the black clay has reacted with the crackle glaze I used on the sprig to add texture.  I love it.

High fired for a fully vitrified finish/non-porous finish.

    Diameter 13.5 cm base

    Height approx 13 cm

While every care is taken to pack well, the fragility of ceramics does mean that breakages can occur in transit.  For this reason, I am more than happy for you to collect in person from my studio in SW London (Southfields/Wimbledon).  Just let me know before purchase.

Returns are accepted but at the buyer's expense and a refund will only be made once it has arrived back in perfect condition.  I cannot refund if the item arrives broken.  Always talk to me first because if there is a problem we may be able to resolve it to save making the return.

Postage is based on weight and is calculated at checkout.  Price is. based on delivery to mainland UK only.  For other destinations, including Highlands, please contact me BEFORE purchase so I can give you a quote.

    Thanks for Looking.
