Orange Pot with Lugs

White stoneware, straight-sided pot with a slip based orange ground. Mark making is mostly made using a gel plate with chocolate brown slip and a few dried rose hips plus extra hand embellishments using a manganese oxide wax pen as well as impressed patterns here and there.  A positive cornucopia of different decorating technieques culminating in an interesting ghostly design.  Lugs at the top give the piece a little bit of extra attitude and the whole piece is washed in a satin matt transparent glaze.

 

High firing ensures this piece is watertight and frost proof.

While every care is taken to pack well, the fragility of ceramics does mean that breakages can occur in transit.  For this reason, I am more than happy for you to collect in person from my studio in SW London (Southfields/Wimbledon).  Just let me know before purchase.

 

Returns are accepted but at the buyer's expense and a refund will only be made once it has arrived back in perfect condition.  I cannot refund if the item arrives broken.  Always talk to me first because if there is a problem we may be able to resolve it to save making the return.
