The Yellow Glow Bowl

Hand pinched, bowl with undulating top made using chunky black clay.    A textured band has been added around the rim with a larger detail to one side and a line of holes has been punched into the body to allow the light from your candle to flicker through.

The outside of the bowl has been left half raw and unglazed and half glazed in glossy sunshine yellow.  This highlights to sharp contrast between the rough clay and the shiny glaze, which is also repeated inside the bowl.

 

When used as a votive/t-light holder, the shiny interior twinkles and the holes in the bowl body allow the flickering light to create shadows on the wall.

 

To clean, wipe with a damp cloth.

While every care is taken to pack well, the fragility of ceramics does mean that breakages can occur in transit.  For this reason, I am more than happy for you to collect in person from my studio in SW London (Southfields/Wimbledon).  Just let me know before purchase.

 

Returns are accepted but at the buyer's expense and a refund will only be made once it has arrived back in perfect condition.  I cannot refund if the item arrives broken.  Always talk to me first because if there is a problem we may be able to resolve it to save making the return.
