Dishy Goat?
Stoneware hand-moulded pot using sodium silicate over a black ground and then handstretched to create a crackled surface. This gives it an instant 'just dug-up' look. I've used white slip over the body to settle in the cracks.
I can see the head of a goat and at one end of the pot and a little tail at the other end. What do you see? I'm happy it is a goat so that's what I'm calling it! We all see things differently. Could make a useful container for salt or sauce boat or maybe a t-light holder.
Inside and out have been finished with a soft, satin matt transparent glaze to seal.
High fired for a fully vitrified finish/non-porous finish.
Length 13 cm
Height approx 8 cm
