Macho Candleholder

Who would have thought that a candle holder could have machismo?  These two do.

The high temperature of a stoneware firing results in this chunky black clay turning to deep black.  The clay is very chunky and rugged and I've decorated it very simply using only a dusting of white slip here and there.  They have been deliberately left raw with no transparent glaze over the surface to allow the natural texture of the clay become the star.

A lovely gift for a man who likes candlelight (and don't we all) but not necessarily pretty colours.

While every care is taken to pack well, the fragility of ceramics does mean that breakages can occur in transit.  For this reason, I am more than happy for you to collect in person from my studio in SW London (Southfields/Wimbledon).  Just let me know before purchase.

 

Returns are accepted but at the buyer's expense and a refund will only be made once it has arrived back in perfect condition.  I cannot refund if the item arrives broken.  Always talk to me first because if there is a problem we may be able to resolve it to save making the return.
