Posey Jar

Textured black clay with added texture. 

Using slips, stains and copper oxide and a light wash of matt transparent glaze on the outside with shiny pale pink on the inside.

Any holes or cracks in the body are integral to the design of the piece. Its the natural result of how I stretch the clay and I do not try to patch up or cover over any natural flaws, which makes each piece unique and one off.  

 

It is high-fired so is suitable as a vase.
