Pot with Swirly Lugs

Slab built, straight-sided pot with lugs to each side.  Made from speckled grey clay the tones of which show through here and there for a really interesting finish.   After assembling the piece I manipulated it with my hands to thin the walls and leave the rim undulating.   Any dimples or finger marks on the piece are intentional.

 

A satin matt, smooth glaze has been used on the inside and a more tactile version which is extremely matt is on the outside.  I have added my favourite dark Shino glaze to create stylised rose hips on the main body and I've also dabbed it on the rim and the lugs.

 

Food and dishwasher safe.

While every care is taken to pack well, the fragility of ceramics does mean that breakages can occur in transit.  For this reason, I am more than happy for you to collect in person from my studio in SW London (Southfields/Wimbledon).  Just let me know before purchase.

 

Returns are accepted but at the buyer's expense and a refund will only be made once it has arrived back in perfect condition.  I cannot refund if the item arrives broken.  Always talk to me first because if there is a problem we may be able to resolve it to save making the return.
